4-Week Classes

Studio membership & class registration opens on the 15th of each month for the following month. Studio membership is automatically included in the cost of a class.

Every month we offer a new schedule of pottery classes that let you dig deep into the medium and really start to develop your abilities and artistic voice, all with the support and encouragement of a community cheering you on. You can check out a current PDF of classes HERE. Classes are $125 for a 4-week class consisting of 8 hours of instruction, and includes studio membership in the cost. Studio membership gives you 24/7 studio access to come in and create outside of class time, access to our equipment, our 18 food safe glazes and the ability to fire your work in our kilns. What types of classes do you offer?

We have classes that focus on sculpture, handbuilding, surface decoration, and the pottery wheel. Topics change every month and allow you to explore, experiment, play and discover.

We have classes and experiences for all levels and abilities from the absolute brand-spankin' new beginner to the seasoned potter.

Why is membership included in the 4-week classes?

The foundation of Good Dirt’s teaching is built on community. For us, this means studio membership as the basis for everything that follows. We want you to have all the tools to thrive at your fingertips - not only our equipment and our teachers, but, MOST importantly, being a part of a loving, artistic, kind and supportive community. To truly learn, you need access to the studio to practice and the encouragement of people around you to help you grow. Taking a class without having studio access is like taking piano lessons and not having a piano - you're not going to get the chance to reinforce what you've learned. We want you to truly learn and truly succeed!

What is studio membership?

Studio membership means that you can come in and practice and use the studio 24/7 and really reinforce what you’ve learned in class, as well as experiment and play and be a part of a community of open-hearted artists. We feel that emphasizing community and practice through studio membership leads to deeper growth and more meaningful experiences. This isn't a contract kind of thing - this is more about support and community and committing to the optimal learning situation for you. You can read all the details about membership HERE.

What is the cost of a class and how long are they?

Classes meet once a week for 4 weeks and are 2 hours long. The cost for the class is $125 and includes 8 hours of class instruction and studio membership.

If I'm a member, do I HAVE to take a class?

Nope. You can take a class if it sparks your interest or opt to just do membership any month that you want.

We have classes that support every level of experience - from the absolute beginner to the artist that has been creating for years. If you need help deciding, reach out and we’ll guide you in the right direction.
